So you've decided you want natural stone countertops. You've made a great decision. Natural stone is durable, sanitary, and adds value to your home. Did you know A study performed by the Hospitality Institute of Technology and Management ranks Granite as the easiest countertop surface to keep clean retaining the least amount of bacteria with normal washing.

 

Granite tops are extremely durable. You don't have to rush to find pot holders anymore. Just take that hot pot right off the stove and onto the countertop. Knives and granite...they won't hurt the granite but the knives will not last long.

 

The basic process....

1. Choose a stone. We suggest starting by looking on line at some stone warehouse web sites.(click here to visit our home page. Links to our stone distributors are located towards the bottom of the page). There you can get a very good idea of the colors of granite available.

 

2. Once you have decided on a few possible stones, fax a rough drawing of your countertops to Barmar for a free estimate. Our fax number is 404.768.3822 ( click here to print Barmar's free estimate sheet ) With the drawing in hand, we can provide you with an estimate and the number of slabs you will need to complete the project.

 

3. With this information you can take a trip to the warehouse and view the stones in person. Remember, these are natural stone products. Each stone has different charateristics, shadings, and colorings. Once you have selected a stone you will place the stone on hold telling the stone warehouse that it will be shipped to Barmar.

 

4. We will schedule a time to template you countertops. Once the template is made and returned to the shop we will begin fabrication of your custom granite countertops.

 

5. We schedule an installation date. We can remove you existing countertops and install your new custom granite countertops on the same day. (Don't forget to schedule a plumber to reconnect your sink)
